A versenyzőknek magukkal kell hozniuk a zenéjük biztonsági másolatát USB-n, megfelelően címkézve. A DJ nem fogja lassítani vagy gyorsítani a zenét kérés esetén sem. Minden Rueda csapatnak legalább három párból kell állnia. A tánc során Ruedán (körön) kívüli formációk is alkalmazhatók, de azok nem haladhatják meg a táncidő 𝟒𝟎%-át. A táncosoknak következetesen be kell tartaniuk az előadott stílus ritmusát, és összhangban kell lenniük a zenével, ellenkező esetben pontlevonással kell számolniuk.
