Salsa course - If you wouldn't be starting from scratch

💃🕺You already know the basics. You’ve already attended Salsa classes. You’ve even danced at parties. Now it’s time to reach the point where you don’t simply learn more figures, but start to Salsa dance really well. On 7 September, a new group is starting for those who have been dancing Salsa for around six months and want more secure foundations, more confident dancing and greater freedom on the dance floor. Our aim is not to cram as many figures as possible into the classes. We want you to understand and feel what you are dancing. So that leading becomes clearer and following more effortless. So that a figure works not only when you dance it with your regular partner in class. So that you have to think less and less about what comes next. And so that at a Salsa party, you no longer search for the steps, but simply dance. We have been teaching together for 13 years. In that time, we have seen exactly where progress tends to stall after the first few months: when the basic steps are already coming along, there are a few figures in your repertoire, but you still lack the security and naturalness that make dancing feel truly great. This is the level we start working on. Technique. Leading and following. Body movement. Rhythm. Confidence. And of course new figures and combinations too – but in a way that makes them genuinely useful at parties. Because for us, Salsa does not end at the door of the dance studio. Salsa parties, shared activities, new connections and a large community await you, where familiar faces will soon surround you. ❤️ One evening a week to take you out of everyday life. Good music. Good people. Lots of laughter. Movement, relaxation and recharging. An hour and a half that you’ll look forward to all week. No partner? No problem. Feel free to come alone. We work with continuous partner rotation in class, so you will learn to dance with different partners – which at this level is already one of the most important parts of your development. This group is for you if: you have been dancing Salsa for around six months, you are already familiar with the basic steps and figures, you would like to lead or follow with greater confidence, you would like to understand the dance better, rather than just “do” the figures, and you would like to dance more and more freely at parties. Our goal is simple: Not just for you to know more figures.
