Espanol Bailando - Learn Spanish Through Bachata (also available with a Connect Pass)

🙋 Dear Dancers! 🇪🇸💃 A completely new way to learn with Connect Dance School! Have you ever wondered what your favourite bachata songs are actually about? 🎶 Or would you like to learn Spanish in a more exciting, playful and inspiring way? Then this workshop is for you! 🇪🇸🔥 A special experience where Spanish language learning, bachata music and dance come together. The first part of the workshop will be led by Sztella, who has an advanced-level qualification in Spanish and speaks and writes Spanish fluently. We’ll start with a short and practical introduction to some basic Spanish grammar. Then, using the chorus of a favourite bachata song, we’ll explore the lyrics together, understand the context, and learn the most important words and expressions. 🎶🇪🇸 In the second part, Gabesz & Réka will guide us through bringing the lyrics to life through dance. 💃🕺 This type of musical interpretation has long been used in West Coast Swing (WCS) and is becoming increasingly popular in bachata as well. When dancers use their movements to visually express the lyrics of a song, this is known as lyrical musicality, word painting, or lyrical dancing.
